Located in Houston, we are seeking two talented individuals to join our infrastructure team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a fantastic chance to play a vital role in supporting our core IT systems during a period of significant growth.
As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for the essential tasks of installing, configuring, documenting, administering, and troubleshooting our core IT systems. This includes working with both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure services, such as virtual environments, Windows and Linux servers, and Microsoft O365. You will also be managing Active Directory, ensuring system stability through proactive monitoring, maintaining thorough documentation, and providing crucial technical support.
We are looking for individuals with a solid foundation in systems administration, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You should possess a good understanding of networking fundamentals and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. This role requires you to be based in the Houston area and be willing to travel approximately 25% as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and administer on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure services.
- Manage user and computer accounts within Active Directory.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation for IT systems and procedures.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot server-related problems.
- Assist in the integration of new technologies and services.
- Support automation efforts to streamline system administration tasks.
- Participate in data center operations as required.
- Provide after-hours and remote support when necessary.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in IT infrastructure management or supporting server environments.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server Administration.
- Experience with Active Directory management and Group Policy configuration.
- Basic understanding of computer networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Must be located in the Houston area and willing to travel approximately 25%.
Preferred:
- Experience with virtual environments (VMware, Nutanix).
- Familiarity with O365 administration.
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell or Batch files).
