About the Role
We are hiring an experienced and determined Certified Veterinary Technician Supervisor to help oversee clinic operations and lead our team of Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Housekeeping staff.
Responsibilities
- Directing work flow on the floor
- Cultivate an engaging work environment and maintain our strong hospital culture
- Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital
- Help with the interview process for potential new hires and onboard all new associates
- Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills
- Conduct staff meetings
- Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
- Mentoring technicians within the department
- Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner
- Refining and implementing protocols
- Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff
Qualifications
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician- CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT (FL CVT Preferred)
- 5 years of clinical experience
- Team leadership experience
- Passion for Veterinary Medicine
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
