What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Groomer position at VCA Animal Hospitals?
We are seeking an experienced Groomer to join our team! VCA Orange County Veterinary Hospital is a busy multi-doctor practice with a variety of services offered including grooming and pet boarding.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated Groomer to capitalize on our established clientele. We have a dedicated grooming suite waiting to be utilized by some great talent.
Excellent animal handling and client service skills are required, along with strong knowledge in the grooming techniques of all breeds of dogs and cats. The Groomer provides general grooming services to our patients of all breeds using appropriate grooming techniques such as, bathing, clipping, nail trimming, ear cleaning, external gland expression, brushing and drying.
The successful candidate will have experience in a variety of breed cuts and be proficient in these cuts for both dogs and cats. They must be a self starter, being able to work unsupervised and have the ability to groom 5-7 animals per day.
This opportunity does not make itself available often. With an already established clientele as well as the capacity to grow, the income potential is far above average for the candidate willing to invest their time with our clients. We are looking for someone who is invested in the long-term success of their career at our hospital as a member of our staff.
Pay Range: Compensation is hourly base of $16.77 pay plus commission.
Shifts days and times are variable and can be on a set rotation or weekly schedule.
Dependable attendance is required.
