VCA Contra Costa Animal Hospital in Moraga, CA is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our one-of-a-kind general practice!
Location: 1025 Country Club Dr, Moraga, CA 94556
Hospital Hours: Monday – Friday 9 am – 6 pm, closed Saturday and Sundays to the public, but open for staff to work the boarding facility.
As a member of the VCA team, your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so they will partner with us for the lifelong care of their companion animals.
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.
In this position, you will support our Doctors and the Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:
• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.
• Maintaining medical records.
• Filling prescriptions.
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Preparing surgical equipment, suites and surgical patients.
Position is full time, Monday-Friday 9 am – 6 pm.
VCA Animal Hospitals offers competitive compensation and benefits package including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, pet care discounts, paid vacation, holidays and sick days, health and well-being programs that provide resources and training. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $22 to $24/hour
