As a Hospital Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of veterinarians, technical, and service-based associates. To be successful in this role you will need to embrace the vision of our doctor team, have a deep understanding of veterinary medicine, be resilient and open to change, bring a positive attitude every day, and commit to the ongoing support of our people.

What you’ll do

• In-hospital position requiring  5 days per week, with occasional  Saturdays
• As a Hospital Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of veterinarians, technical, and service-based associates along with a boarding facility
• You will direct the implementation of a new and innovative veterinary experience
• To be successful in this role you will need to embrace the vision, adopt new ways of working, bring a positive attitude, and commit to the support of our veterinarians and their support teams
• Train, engage and retain top performing associates
• Deliver on hospital operational performance, including but not limited to financials, people metrics and client experience standards
• Build a high-volume business through various marketing methods and collaboration with the community
• Deliver value to clients by creating an efficient and caring environment
• Deliver value to associates by creating an operational environment with high psychological safety, trust, and inclusion as cultural tenants
• Lead all associates with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude
• Hold all hospital associates accountable for performance standards and respectful communication conduct
• Raise awareness and promote a collaborative relationship with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

• 5 years of veterinary hospital/clinic experience preferred
• 3.5 years of people management experience required
• Demonstrated experience driving organizational change
• Action oriented, independent, self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple and time-sensitive priorities simultaneously with a keen eye for inefficiencies
• Willingness and ability to grow the business through various marketing and business development methods
• Ability to establish credibility, trust, and respect with veterinarians and other medical professionals
• Proven leadership skills including accountability, follow-through, and clear communication
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills, and ability to work with diverse personality types
• Operational grit - the passion and perseverance to focus on long term goals when faced with set backs and adversity
