Northwest Animal Hospital is seeking experienced Veterinary Assistants to join our team. Education and/or Experience, and a dedicated interest in a career in the veterinary field a must. MUST be available Saturdays 7am -3 pm, Sundays from 8 am to 1pm, Tuesdays and Fridays, 7 am to 6 pm. Other weekdays we can offer flexibility in schedule.
This position pays $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, dependent on experience, education, certification, etc.

In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:
• Maintaining medical records.
• Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.
• Filling prescriptions.
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets.
Obtaining medical history and managing electronic medical records.
Must be comfortable in a client facing position, demonstrating patience and friendliness in education and support.
- Animal Husbandry
- Cleaning, House keeping and Hospital Maintenance.
- Walking and feeding animals
- Any other duties throughout the hospital as needed and at the direction of the Leadership team.
