The Role
We are hiring an experienced and determined Certified Veterinary Technician Supervisor to help oversee clinic operations and lead our team of Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Housekeeping staff. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a passion for veterinary medicine.
Responsibilities
- Directing workflow on the floor
- Cultivating an engaging work environment and maintaining our strong hospital culture
- Working cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital
- Helping with the interview process for potential new hires and onboarding all new associates
- Assisting in the educational development of technicians and their skills
- Conducting staff meetings
- Providing opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
- Mentoring technicians within the department
- Resolving conflicts in a professional and humble manner
- Refining and implementing protocols
- Ensuring that VCA policies, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff
Qualifications
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician - CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT (FL CVT Preferred)
- 5 years of clinical experience
- Team leadership experience
- Passion for veterinary medicine
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
