What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at VCA Animal Hospitals?
Welcome to VCA Cascade Animal Medical Center & Inn! We are a AAHA accredited, full-service facility offering Preventative/Routine care, Surgery and Dental procedures, Urgent Care, and Hospitalization.
Our technician team is growing, and we are looking for a team orientated Certified Veterinary Technician!
Overall Responsibility: Our CVTs provide compassionate veterinary care to our patients. We provide a progressive learning environment to guide your career path, and encourage technicians to utilize their technical skills to broaden their abilities.
- Assist doctors with exams, treatments and procedures.
- Venipuncture and IVC placement
- Administer SQ fluids, medications, etc.
- Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team.
- Recognize subtle change in clinical status.
- Discharge instructions with clients when they are able to bring their furry family member back home with them.
- Complete estimates, basic record keeping.
- Surgical preparation and assisting.
- Anesthesia monitoring.
- Dentistry and dental radiographs
- Diagnostic imaging

Compensation: Pay range starting at $23- $27hr
Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.
