VCA Merrimac Animal Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join our team!
About Us
We are a AAHA accredited primary care practice in beautiful Williamsburg, VA. We believe in excellent customer service, gold standard medicine, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will enjoy patient care and client communication.
We are open Monday through Friday and closed Saturday and Sunday.
Part time and full time positions available
About the Role
As Veterinary Assistant, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties may include:
- Compassionate patient care
- Client education and care
- Venipuncture and catheter placement
- Radiology and diagnostics
- Lab sample collection and processing
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Dentistry
- Medication preparation and administration
- Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
- Medical recordkeeping

The pay range starts at $15 / hour (dependent on experience, education, and relevant credentials)
