About the Job
As a Veterinary Technician at VCA San Carlos Animal Hospital, you will play a critical role in supporting our veterinarian teams by delivering exceptional patient care and client service. Your mission will be to utilize your knowledge and skills to perform physical examinations and patient assessments, administer anesthesia, prepare and assist with surgeries, and provide compassionate care to our hospitalized animals.
Responsibilities
• Support veterinarian teams in delivering exceptional patient care and client service
• Perform physical examinations and patient assessments, administer anesthesia, prepare and assist with surgeries, and provide compassionate care to our hospitalized animals
• Utilize knowledge and skills to create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
• Current certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
• 1 year of experience as a veterinary technician in a clinical setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and client service
