VCA Naper Ridge Animal Hospital has the opportunity to add a Certified Veterinary Technician to our team as we continue to provide optimal care and support to pets and their parents in our community.

We are a full-service facility offering Preventative / Routine medical care, grooming, at home veterinary care, diagnostic testing, surgical and dental services. The investment in your education will pay off in this position as you fully utilize all of the knowledge and technical skills that you worked so hard to obtain.
Compensation : Pay range is $ 21 - 25 / hr and determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.
Schedule : Full- time opportunity, 4 x 10 hour shifts. Not looking for full-time hours, we’re happy to discuss part-time options as well!
Key Responsibilities :
- Patient Care : Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, including administering treatments, medications, and monitoring their recovery.
- Anesthesia and Surgery : Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, including anesthesia induction, monitoring, and post-operative care.
- Diagnostics : Perform diagnostic tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and radiographs, ensuring accurate results and timely processing.
- Client Education : Engage with clients to provide clear communication on their pets’ health, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Record Keeping : Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient.
- Leadership and Mentorship : Mentor junior staff and help foster a collaborative, positive work environment. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to grow your leadership skills and potentially lead teams or projects.
