Role Overview
As the Talent & Culture Specialist for VCA Animal Hospitals, you will provide strategic support and coordination to the entire Talent & Culture team, comprised of Leadership Development, Candidate Experience, Equity Inclusion & Diversity and Talent & Culture.
You will report to the Vice President of Talent & Culture and be an instrumental member of the team, providing support and coordination with numerous programs with visibility across the organization. Support includes the preparation and dissemination of slide decks for use and delivery across all levels of the organization, lead the organization and coordination of meetings and programs, such as Crucial Conversations, New Associate Orientations, etc., coordinating and supporting interviews at corporate and executive levels of the organization and supporting the Vice President of Talent & Culture in the execution of the team’s goals.
This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to key People & Organization initiatives, provide input and support to the P&O Centers of Expertise leaders, and ensure consistent and high-quality Associate and Candidate experiences.
Responsibilities
Candidate Experience : Coordinate interviews, determination of appropriate candidate experience elements (gifts, travel coordination, etc), liaise with senior leadership (including SLT) to complete interview schedules, provide confirmation / instructions to candidates and hiring leaders on interview schedules. Support all facets of new Associate onboarding, including problem resolution, hiring leader next steps, etc.
New Associate Orientation : Manage full scope of event coordination, including invitations and travel needs for participants and subject matter experts, manage / revise / maintain the orientation schedule for the year and for the individual events, send out calendar and email invitations to participate, coordinate and order meals for participants and SMEs as needed, room bookings for the year, tracking and monitoring participation, drafting and disseminating all correspondence pertaining to the program.
Immersion Program : Coordinate immersion experiences with field leaders and participants, including meeting scheduling and sharing of best practice documents. Tracking monitoring and reporting out on participation rates, survey responses. Summarizing and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Talent : support activities around PDP : preparation of decks, meeting planification with P&O departments, S / O leaders, Field Leaders, HMs and MDs etc., taking and sharing meeting minutes, preparing communications, etc.
Culture : support activities around Make The Difference, the Mars Associates Survey, the Five Principles deployment : preparation of decks, meeting planification with P&O departments, S / O leaders, Field Leaders etc., taking and sharing meeting minutes, preparing communications, etc.
Support reporting and dashboards preparation for key activities and processes such as PDP process, MAS process, Make The Difference etc.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience : At least two years of administrative, human resources or project support experience is required. Intermediate skills with MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc) is required.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.
