VCBO Architecture is seeking an experienced Marketing Assistant to join our Architectural Group in our Salt Lake City office. VCBO has a passion for excellence and a strong group of people who respect each other and enjoy working together.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a marketing assistant to join our team and perform meaningful work in an innovative, team-focused environment. The marketing assistant will take on a variety of hands-on tasks, including marketing project management, content creation, pursuit support, event management, and general marketing administration. As an integral member of our team, you will support VCBO’s impactful community projects and gain valuable exposure to the unique rewards of marketing within the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.

Essential Job Functions:

The marketing assistant position is a dynamic and versatile role, offering the opportunity to contribute across many of the firm’s marketing functions. The primary responsibilities of this role include:

• Marketing Project Management: Lead various marketing projects and campaigns from concept to completion, ensuring all materials and tasks are delivered on time and to the highest standards. Coordinate with other marketing team members, graphic designers, office clerks, technical staff, external partners, and vendors as necessary to ensure the successful execution of projects.
• Event Management: Plan, coordinate, and support marketing events, including conferences, golf tournaments, project milestone ceremonies, firm events, and promotional activities. Coordinate with firm staff, venues, clients, and vendors to ensure seamless event operations. Produce branded swag for distribution at events and manage inventories. Track the success of each event, report back to leadership, and suggest improvements for future events.
• Content Creation: Develop and produce various marketing materials, including social media posts, website content, presentations, brochures, mailers, award submittals, and other communications. Help coordinate professional photoshoots of completed projects. Ensure content is aligned with VCBO's brand guidelines and that all materials are high-quality, accurate, and delivered on schedule.
• Pursuit Support: As needed, assist in preparing and submitting proposals, presentations, and other business development collateral. Collaborate with project teams to gather relevant information and help ensure that all deliverables meet the firm's standards and client expectations.
• Marketing Support and Administration: Provide ongoing support to other marketing team members and initiatives. Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including maintaining CRM data, updating the company website, and managing intranet pages. Flexibility to take on additional tasks or special projects as required.

• Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including the marketing team, graphics team, technical staff, and external partners.

Required Education and Experience

In order to excel in this position, the ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:

• A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or English is preferred.
• Experience with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook) and content creation is essential.
• Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, etc.).
• Experience with content management systems (CMS), customer relationship management (CRM) software, and project management software is a plus.
