What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fuel Handler position at VConnect Talent?
Position Purpose
Responsible for continuous monitoring and operation of the boiler fuel system. Perform Firewatch and Maintenance Helper duties as needed. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards as outlined in the Job Hazard Analysis, Standard Operating Procedures, and other directives from the Supervisor to support the safe and efficient operation of the boiler.
Essential Functions
These duties are designated as ADA Essential Functions and must be performed in this role:
- Maintain the boiler fuel pile.
- Feed fuel into the system.
- Clean boiler cells using proper cell procedures and combustion chamber protocols.
- Operate front-end loader and bobcat.
- Monitor boiler equipment, gauges, and valves.
- Track boiler performance through computer readouts.
- Comply with all Federal, State, and Company rules, policies, and procedures.
- Perform Firewatch duties as needed.
- Rotate to different positions for cross-training or to support production as required.
- Manage radio communication when the boiler is down.
Non-Essential Functions
These duties are secondary and not classified as ADA essential:
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor for production and cleaning purposes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,000.00 - $51,000.00 per year
