Hospice Volunteer Coordinator Specialist

Job Summary

VCU Health at Home by BAYADA seeks a skilled Volunteer Coordinator Specialist to join our team in Richmond, VA. As a Part-Time Volunteer Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating our Volunteer program in surrounding communities. You will be responsible for managing the Volunteer services program, leading office and field volunteers, and ensuring quality office support services are provided.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the development and implementation of volunteer programs.
2. Collaborate with office staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of administrative volunteer services.
3. Develop and maintain accurate records of volunteer services, including hours worked and services delivered.
4. Recruit, interview, and select qualified volunteers based on their skills and availability.
5. Design and deliver comprehensive volunteer orientation and training programs.
6. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages volunteer engagement and retention.
7. Evaluate volunteer performance regularly and provide constructive feedback.
8. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
9. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to volunteering.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with volunteers, colleagues, and clients.
• Possession of a Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Prior experience in healthcare, particularly in home care and recruitment, is highly valued.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
