What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cognitive Behavioral Neurologist - M60327 position at VCU Health?
The Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Department of Neurology is seeking a full-time clinical faculty member with training in Cognitive/Behavioral Neurology to join our expanding clinical and research enterprises. Successful candidates will have an MD or DO and will be BC/BE in Neurology. Successful candidates will also have completed a Cognitive/behavioral Neurology Fellowship. Academic appointment will be commensurate with experience.
This clinical positon will provide patient care, engage in medical student, neurology resident and fellow education and participate in clinical research. This positon will see patents with neurological disorders in the outpatient setting, as well as cover night call and some hospital inpatient consultation service in rotation with other neurologists.
As part of a thriving academic medical center, our faculty educate learners from multiple disciplines, including our residents in Neurology. The individual will be expected to pursue scholarly activates and research interests as well as to contribute meaningfully to the goals of the department, the organization, the community and the larger field of Neurology. Strong interpersonal, communication and time management skills are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work effectively in a team environment, with leadership skills and experience preferred.
