8 : 15 – 4 : 45 – Primarily OP but will be expected to rotate in acute for holiday / PTO coverage and high census if needed
Aquatics and Land therapy
The Physical Therapist job is primarily responsible for the delivery of physical therapy care to the patient population to which she / he is assigned and the recording of that care in the hospital medical record.
The Physical Therapist acts as a consultant to various patient clinics, provides instruction to PT support staff, students, personnel of other disciplines within VCUHS, and patient and / or family members. Therapists may also rotate through our various clinical service areas.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire :
Licensed (or licensure eligible) by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment :
Current license by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Physical Therapist
Current CPR Certification if required by clinic or practice area
Experience REQUIRED :
New graduate to up to 2 years of work experience as a Physical Therapist\

Masters or Doctoral Degree from an accredited School of Physical Therapy
Independent action(s) required :
Patient evaluation and implementation of plan of care, discharge planning. Ordering equipment.
Representing department at rounds and discharge conferences. Scheduling and charging patients.
