What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Director, Ambulatory Operations, Community Memorial Hospital position at VCU Health?
This job leads overall operations of a select region of clinics within VCUHS which include high volume and/or multi-specialty clinics. This will include activities related to future growth, marketing, increasing access, patient/provider experience and optimizing the clinic practices across a defined region(s). This job identifies best practices for office operation. Establishes processes and procedures and implements best practices to maximize the efficiency of operations and fiscal results. This job collaborates with the Vice President of Ambulatory Operations in providing direction to promote the vision and assists in the implementation of strategies to support the business functions and patient care activities in collaboration with regional clinic leadership teams.

Experience REQUIRED:
Minimum of Seven (7) years operating multiple large, complex clinical practices with significant financial, revenue cycle and operations responsibility.
Demonstrated leadership and initiative in healthcare service excellence and business growth.
Experience PREFERRED:
Ten (10) years of experience of strong leadership experience over all aspects of clinic operations.
Multidisciplinary clinic leadership experience a plus. Strong quantitative & analytical skills
Education/training REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or related field
Education/training PREFERRED:
Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Health Care Administration, Nursing or related field. Nursing or other clinical training a plus.
RN License preferred.
Independent action(s) required:
Develops and implements initiatives and processes and creates goals for practices in assigned region(s) that align with organizational and operational strategies.
Assists other regional markets with the development and implementation of new initiatives in conjunction with strategic leadership at VCU Health.
Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): Direct oversight of clinic leadership within assigned region(s).
