Certification Details

  • BLS - Basic Life Support
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • State License Verification
  • NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN / LVN, AP)

Job Details

  • EP lab RN
  • Electrophysiology Unit RN
  • 40 hrs per week
  • Day shift 0700-1730
  • Late shifts : 1-2 per week, will stay past 5 : 30 until procedures are done
  • Weekend requirement : none
  • Holiday requirement : possible summer holiday call
  • Competent to scrub and / or circulate / monitor in EP procedures : multiple ablation types (afib, svt, epicardial vt, pvc, aflutter), devices (icd's, pacemakers, micra's, sicd's), pericardial taps, cardioversions
  • Active RN license
  • No reassignments
  • 3 EP labs, 1 Procedure room (cardioversion)
  • 1 RN’s and 1 RT / RCIS / RCES per case (sometimes 3 people per team)
  • Unit is located in the Gateway Hospital, 3rd Floor
  • Cost Center 100197
  • Hospital provided scrubs

    • Job Requirements

  • Active RN license
  • Competent to scrub and / or circulate / monitor in EP procedures
  • No reassignments

    • Schedule Information

  • 4x10 schedule
  • Day shift 0700-1730
  • Late shifts : 1-2 per week
  • Weekend requirement : none
  • Holiday requirement : possible summer holiday call

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Unit is located in the Gateway Hospital, 3rd Floor
  • 3 EP labs, 1 Procedure room (cardioversion)

    • Additional Details

  • Government issued photo ID required
  • Proof of primary residence must match compact licensure
  • Certifications expiring within 1 month from start of contract will not be accepted by VCU
  • No onsite renewals offered, renewals must be scheduled by the agency
