The Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering Department of the College of Engineering seeks culturally and professionally diverse candidates to apply for Adjunct Faculty (open rank) positions. Since its inception in 1996, the Virginia Commonwealth University College of Engineering has brought innovative, real-world engineering education to Central Virginia. Position Responsibilities:The Research Assistant will be responsible for the running brain stimulation simulations and machine learning algorithms and support the research goals of the Biomagnetics Lab at the Mechanical and Nuclear Department.Duties include: -Running Sim4Life, ANSYS Maxwell, LS Dyna simulations needed for brain modeling-Train and supervise undergraduate students working the same area -Run machine learning codes and SIMNIBs simulations on lab computers and high performance computer (HPC) - Assist in building brain phantomsRequired Qualifications: -PhD in Mechanical Engineering-The College of Engineering at VCU champions diversity, equity and inclusion in all that we do.
