Position Summary:
A Post-Doctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Suyun Huang in the Department of Human and Molecular Genetics and the Institute of Molecular Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), School of Medicine. The ongoing studies in the laboratory focus on molecular mechanisms underlying cancer development and progression, especially on epigenetics regulation of cancer. Please refer to our recent publications for more information (Cancer Cell 2020, 2017, 2011; Nature Communications 2021, 2015; Nature Cell Biology 2016; The Journal of Clinical Investigation 2014; EMBO J. 2016, & Cancer Research 2020, 2019).
Required Qualifications:
Dr. Huang’s laboratory is seeking talented and highly motivated postdoctoral fellows. The successful candidate should have a PhD or MD degree with a strong background in molecular biology, molecular genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, and/or cancer biology. The candidates must also have strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills in English. The candidate must have a demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in past experiences or a commitment to do so as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications:
Research experience in protein modification, transcriptional control, epigenetics and animal models would be an advantage.
