VDA is an Experiential Design Agency located in Somerville, MA, pushing boundaries in the experiential space with creativity, innovation, and dedication to excellence. Recognized as one of the Top 100 Event Agencies by Event Marketer for the past two years, VDA delivers memorable brand experiences across physical and virtual environments. Our growing portfolio includes tradeshows, exhibit booths, corporate-themed events, branded activations, conferences, and more.

As we expand, we are seeking skilled freelance and part-time team members to support our warehouse operations, event productions, and logistics. We are currently hiring for multiple temporary, part-time, and freelance positions, including :

Warehouse Helper
Scenic Technician
Lighting Technician
Audio Technician
Van Driver
Truck Driver (16'-26' Box Truck)

These roles play a vital part in ensuring the seamless execution of world-class events, from prepping and transporting equipment to setting up and operating technical elements.

Role Summary & Responsibilities

Warehouse Helper

Assist in organizing, packing, and loading event materials and equipment.

Maintain warehouse cleanliness and inventory tracking.

Support event setup and breakdown as needed.

Scenic Technician

Construct, assemble, and install scenic elements for event setups.

Work with carpentry, painting, and other fabrication materials.

Ensure scenic elements are transported and set up safely and efficiently.

Lighting Technician

Assist in setting up and operating lighting equipment for events.

Ensure proper rigging and cabling of lighting systems.

Troubleshoot any lighting issues during setup and execution.

Audio Technician

Set up and manage audio equipment, including speakers, microphones, and mixing consoles.

Troubleshoot audio issues and ensure high-quality sound for events.

Assist in load-in and load-out of AV equipment.

Van & Truck Drivers (16’-26’ Box Truck)

Transport event equipment and materials to and from event locations.

Safely load and unload materials with attention to organization and protection.

Ensure all transportation is completed on schedule and according to safety standards.

Qualifications

Prior experience in your respective role (warehouse, scenic, lighting, audio, or driving) preferred.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Valid driver's license required for driving positions (CDL not required for box truck drivers).

Availability for flexible, event-based schedules, including nights and weekends.
