Job Description:
The CAD Modeling & Detailing Lead will manage and guide the CAD design team while collaborating with key customer stakeholders to create and maintain high-quality design standards. The role focuses on delivering complex 3D models and 2D drawings using Catia 3DX and ensuring seamless CAD migration and data management across tools like Windchill, Enovia, and 3DX.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead the CAD Modeling/Detailing team and collaborate with key stakeholders to meet project objectives.
Design & Modeling
- Create and manage complex 3D models and 2D drawings using Catia 3DX for castings, plastics, sheet metal components, and surface modeling.
- Handle large assemblies in Catia 3DX while establishing modeling and detailing standards.
- Understand and interpret features, 3D models, and 2D drawings using Creo.
Migration & Data Management
- Perform CAD migration activities from Creo to Catia 3DX.
- Manage PDM data using tools like Windchill, Enovia, and 3DX.
Standards & Quality Assurance
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Maintain attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality designs.
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Catia 3DX for solid modeling, surface modeling, and 2D detailing.
- Hands-on expertise in Creo for design interpretation and modeling.
- Proficient in managing PDM tools like Windchill, Enovia, and 3DX.
Technical Expertise:
- Knowledge of GD&T principles for accurate design and detailing.
- Skilled in handling large assemblies and complex designs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in industries like Industrial Products, Automotive, Aerospace, or Off-Highway Equipment.
