Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and innovative Network Engineer with expertise in Cisco networking, ACI, and SDWAN technologies, as well as knowledge of F5 Admin and HAProxy. The candidate will contribute to a dynamic infrastructure engineering team focused on automation and high availability IT services for an energy-efficient semiconductor company. This role involves provisioning, configuring, and automating network infrastructure in a hybrid cloud environment, while collaborating with developers and adhering to industry best practices.
Performance Objectives
- Develop lifecycle management methodologies for network infrastructure with an automation-first mindset.
- Follow best practices to monitor systems and ensure the availability of network resources.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network infrastructure issues across production, QA, and DEV environments.
- Support capacity planning with periodic performance reporting.
- Perform resource optimizations and provide recommendations for improving network performance.
- Provide after-hours on-call support as needed for critical issues.
- Implement metrics and analytics to monitor network technology health.
- Communicate effectively with non-technical staff during project coordination.
- Design and deploy network solutions using reference architectures tailored for projects and operations.
Primary Skills
- Cisco CCNP/CCIE Routing & Switching: Advanced knowledge of ACI and SDWAN for enterprise-level networking.
- F5 Admin / HAProxy Knowledge: Proficient in managing load balancing solutions to optimize network performance.
Requirements
Experience
- 8 15 years of expertise in Cisco LAN and WAN administration.
- Hands-on experience with passive cabling, cross-connect installations, and data center setups.
Technical Skills
- Infrastructure automation tools, such as Ansible, Terraform, Perl, PowerShell, Puppet, or Chef.
- Familiarity with network performance tuning and optimization strategies.
Certifications
- At least one certification from:
- Cisco CCNP/CCIE Certification.
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
- Red Hat Certified Specialist.
- Automation Certification.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication skills to articulate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Capability to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
