Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer with extensive expertise in managing, troubleshooting, and implementing complex network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience working with MSPs, ISPs, major carriers, or large enterprise networks. This role demands advanced technical skills in routing, switching, diagnostics, and network security, alongside excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Troubleshooting and Diagnostics

• Perform expert-level configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of complex IP network infrastructures.
• Resolve critical network issues efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.

Network Configuration and Implementation

• Implement complex network changes with expertise in WAN, LAN, Wireless LAN topologies, and advanced WAN routing.
• Configure and maintain DHCP, DNS, IP management tools, and network management applications.

Infrastructure Expertise

• Work with converged infrastructure, switching/routing technologies, and multimedia/VoIP solutions like SIP.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and gateway redundancy protocols (HSRP, VRRP, GLRP).

Network Security and Monitoring

• Implement security policies and configurations, including ACLs, IPSec Tunnels, and VPN technologies.
• Monitor and analyze network performance using tools like Netflow and IPSLA for performance optimization.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, providing exceptional customer service.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly with written and verbal proficiency, catering to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Prioritization and High-Pressure Environments

• Excel in prioritizing tasks and executing them under high-pressure conditions, maintaining operational excellence.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 10 years of experience with MSP, ISP, major carrier, or very large enterprise networks.
• Expert-level proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and network infrastructure configuration.
• Advanced knowledge of routing and switching systems, including protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, HSRP, VRRP, and GLRP.
• Strong expertise in VoIP, Multicast, STP, VLANs and Trunking, and firewalls.
• Proven experience with MPLS, QoS/traffic shaping, and multimedia/VoIP solutions.
• Exceptional skills in written and oral communication.

Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with cloud-based network solutions.
• Certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, or other relevant industry-recognized credentials.
• Experience with network performance monitoring and diagnostic tools.
