Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced PCIe Characterization Engineer with 5 years of expertise in PCIe Gen5 characterization, SERDES characterization, and high-speed equipment usage. The role involves working closely with Synopsys, firmware, and design teams to plan, execute, and debug testing processes. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Python automation, debugging, and triaging test cases while ensuring high-performance validation and optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- PCIe Gen5 Characterization: Conduct extensive PCIe Gen5 testing and validation.
- SERDES Characterization: Perform PCIe Gen3/4/5 SERDES characterization and analysis.
- High-Speed Equipment Handling: Utilize tools like JBERT and Network Analyzer for signal integrity and performance testing.
- Test Case Automation: Develop and implement Python-based automation for testing workflows.
- Debugging & Triage: Analyze issues, troubleshoot errors, and optimize testing methodologies.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Synopsys, firmware, and design teams to plan and execute testing strategies.
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
- 5 years of industry experience in PCIe Gen5 characterization.
- Expertise in SERDES characterization (PCIe Gen3/4/5).
- Strong proficiency in Python scripting for automation.
- Hands-on experience with JBERT and Network Analyzer for high-speed testing.
- Proven ability in debugging and triaging system issues.
- Effective collaboration skills to work with Synopsys, firmware, and design teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of signal integrity analysis and high-speed data transmission protocols.
- Experience with protocol compliance testing for PCIe standards.
- Familiarity with hardware validation and firmware debugging techniques.
