Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Polarion Data Migration Specialist with expertise in RV&S (formerly PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager) and Source Integrity to support data migration initiatives. The role involves planning, executing, and optimizing the migration of data from RV&S to Polarion, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with business requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience with RV&S configuration and customization, a working knowledge of Polarion, and strong collaboration skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- RV&S Expertise: Configure, customize, and manage RV&S (PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager) and Source Integrity, ensuring the system is optimized for migration.
- Data Migration Strategy: Define and implement a structured data migration approach from RV&S to Polarion, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with business needs.
- Polarion Understanding: Utilize Polarion as an end-user, with a preference for those who have experience in its configuration and customization.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and execute scripts/tools to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) for seamless migration.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with business analysts, developers, QA teams, and end-users to gather requirements, communicate progress, and resolve migration-related challenges.
- Testing & Validation: Conduct thorough data validation, quality checks, and reconciliation to ensure migrated data aligns with original RV&S records.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify potential issues in data consistency, performance, and configuration and provide resolution strategies.
- Documentation & Training: Maintain detailed migration documentation, technical reports, and best practices for future reference and provide end-user training if needed.
- Industry Compliance (Optional): If working in a regulated industry (e.g., Medical Devices, Automotive, Aerospace, etc.), ensure the migration process aligns with regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in RV&S (PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager) and Source Integrity.
- Proven experience in data migration projects, preferably from RV&S to Polarion or similar tools.
- Working knowledge of Polarion, including configuration, is preferred.
- Experience with scripting (Python, Perl, or similar) and automation tools is a plus.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong RV&S (PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager) and Source Integrity expertise.
- Data migration, ETL processes, and database management (SQL, XML, JSON, etc.).
- Customization and configuration of RV&S and basic Polarion administration.
- Experience with version control and requirements management systems.
- Familiarity with API integrations, scripting, and automation tools.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry experience in Medical Devices, Automotive, Aerospace, or other regulated environments is a plus.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps tools.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, or similar (for Medical Devices).
