Duration/Term: Long-Term Contract
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced RedHat OpenShift Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise PaaS solutions on BareMetal infrastructure and various IaaS platforms (AWS, Azure, VMware, OpenStack). The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with RedHat OpenShift, ACM, OpenShift Virtualization, GitOps principles, and a deep understanding of cloud storage integrations, container technologies, and hybrid cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Design & Implementation
- Build enterprise PaaS solutions leveraging RedHat OpenShift on BareMetal and hybrid IaaS environments such as AWS, Azure, VMware, and OpenStack.
- Design and implement highly available, multi-cloud, split-cluster OpenShift environments to support critical production systems.
Cluster Management & Provisioning
- Utilize RedHat ACM for provisioning, cluster management, and operational enhancements.
- Apply GitOps principles to streamline Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines.
Cloud Storage & Security
- Integrate OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF) for storage and tools like Portworx and Ceph for effective data management.
- Enhance security using RedHat Advanced Cluster Security in OpenShift environments.
BareMetal & Container Solutions
- Deploy OpenShift on BareMetal infrastructure, specifically Dell PowerEdge Servers.
- Design and build Container-as-a-Service (CaaS) self-service models to simplify container lifecycle management for enterprise users.
DevOps & Automation
- Implement DevOps principles by creating CI/CD pipelines and ensuring proper failover and recovery plans for infrastructure.
- Deploy automation frameworks using Terraform and Ansible for scalable infrastructure management.
Technical Leadership & Roadmap
- Assess existing client technology architecture, identify gaps, and prescribe optimal tools and technologies for future-state designs.
- Define roadmaps for non-functional requirements and guide production implementation.
- Lead daily system support, operation, and troubleshooting of complex production systems.
Documentation & Communication
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for architectures, deployments, and operational workflows.
- Effectively communicate the value and impact of technologies to businesses, industries, and stakeholders.
- Manage conflicts and objection handling with active listening and strong interpersonal skills.
Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Expertise in RedHat OpenShift build experience on BareMetal infrastructure and hybrid cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in RedHat ACM, OpenShift Virtualization, ODF, Quay, Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps principles.
- Familiarity with OpenShift Data Foundation, Portworx, Ceph, and RedHat Advanced Cluster Security.
- Strong understanding of BareMetal infrastructure, specifically Dell PowerEdge Servers.
- Experience building CaaS self-service models and integrating DevOps pipelines with tested recovery plans.
