Title: Specialized IT Consultant
Location: (Onsite / 720 Bay Street, Toronto)
Mode: Contract
Must Haves:
At least 6 years of experience with process design, business analysis and project management of applications/systems.
Responsibilities:
- Project planning and management related to all phases of large-scale transformation initiatives impacting public and justice stakeholders; I&IT projects, including medium to large scale, technically complex projects across a range of enterprise technologies
- Understanding the optimal practices for providing Information and Information Technology (I&IT) support to users utilizing digital technology and assistance during a large transformation
- Change management principles to facilitate business process change and manage the human factors associated with change
- Leadership skills to guide the work of project staff and teams
- You can develop project plans and manage resources to ensure efficient progress
- You have a proven track record delivering system development and/or implementation projects on time and on budget
- You can proactively and strategically manage the human factors associated with change
- You have change management principles and techniques to facilitate business process change
- You possess team building and leadership skills to engage the project team and ensure collaboration and focus on achieving project deliverables
- You have demonstrated interpersonal and consultation skills to communicate project deliverables and build strong project teams and client relationships
- You have demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to resolve problems and design/deliver presentations, proposals and business cases
- You can determine client requirements, make presentations, prepare proposals, business cases and tenders and write procedures, resolve conflicts, develop and sustain effective working relationships
- You can discuss and resolve issues with stakeholders and address risks and benefits of specific solutions and recommend specific courses of action
- You can identify optimal solutions to meet client needs and provide submissions to facilitate senior level decision-making
- You can evaluate and define project management requirements

- Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
- Knowledge of operations management and security and emerging technologies to assess client needs, lead projects, and provide expertise
- Knowledge of technical standards, principles, and best practices to ensure client needs are optimally met by the solutions and services being implemented, and to validate vendor advice at all stages of a project
- Knowledge of software development platforms, development methodologies, technical standards with respect to software architecture and design (multi-tier models), technical infrastructure requirements, cloud technologies etc.
- Knowledge of IT security requirements, and best practices in implementing high availability solutions with requirement of hosting solutions with high sensitivity and confidentiality ratings
- Knowledge of resource management approaches and financial management to develop and manage budgets
- Working knowledge of I&IT and computer protocols and frameworks specific to the program system(s) currently in use
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook), and Microsoft Project software packages
