Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Field Data Engineer to join the team developing cutting-edge X-ray generation subsystems, including tubes and generators. This role involves leading efforts in field data gathering, root cause analysis, and quality performance tracking across a large installed base of imaging scanners. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical acumen, analytical capability, and stakeholder management skills to help enhance product reliability and field service efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Analysis: Collaborate with Installed Base and Field Service Engineering teams to collect and analyze field failure data aimed at improving product quality.
- Field Failure Management: Lead efforts to collect, cleanse, and manage failure data related to X-Ray Tubes and generators in the Installed Base.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage directly with service field engineers to gather comprehensive product failure insights.
- Root Cause Analysis: Review machine data and service records to support failure classification and perform RCA to identify areas for improvement.
- Quality Monitoring: Actively monitor product performance in the field to ensure high standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field.
- Experience: 10 years of experience in field data engineering, analytics, or product support in a high-tech or medical device environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Data Tools: Familiar with SQL and visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with proficiency in written English and a neutral English accent.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in engineering and data analysis.
- Advanced Tools: Hands-on experience with Advanced Excel, VBA, Python, and MS Access.
- Customer Service: Prior experience in customer-facing roles (chat/email/voice).
- Problem Solving: Effective probing, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Detail Orientation: Demonstrated ability to manage large datasets and ensure accuracy.
