The Techno-Functional Manager will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technology and business processes in the 3PL domain. The individual will ensure seamless integration of technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency, improve customer satisfaction, and achieve business objectives. This position demands expertise in logistics and supply chain operations combined with technical skills for software implementation, data analysis, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional Responsibilities:
Logistics and Supply Chain Management:
Oversee and optimize 3PL processes, including warehousing, transportation, order management, and inventory control.
Understand client requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
Monitor SLA adherence and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Act as the primary liaison between business units, technical teams, and clients.
Manage client relationships by providing strategic insights and operational transparency.
Process Optimization:
Identify inefficiencies in workflows and recommend process improvements.
Benchmark industry best practices to align internal processes with market standards.
Technical Responsibilities:
Systems Implementation and Integration:
Lead the implementation and integration of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and ERP solutions.
Configure and customize logistics software to meet business needs.
Data Management and Analytics:
Develop dashboards and reports for performance tracking and decision-making.
Leverage analytics to forecast demand, optimize routes, and manage capacity planning.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
Ensure the smooth operation of IT systems by addressing technical issues and minimizing downtime.
Coordinate with vendors for updates, patches, and system upgrades.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience:
8 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a techno-functional role.
Proven experience in implementing WMS, TMS, or ERP solutions.
Skills:
Functional Skills:
Strong knowledge of 3PL operations and supply chain management principles.
Familiarity with freight management, order fulfillment, and reverse logistics.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle SCM, Blue Yonder, Manhattan Associates).
Understanding of APIs, EDI, and system integrations.
Knowledge of database tools and query languages like SQL.
