Position
For our client Repair Care, we are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented National Business Development Manager to lead their expansion into the U.S. market. Repair Care is a leading European innovator in sustainable long lasting wood repair solutions for construction and maintenance professionals. Their high-performance products are designed to extend the life of wooden architectural features, preserving heritage, and reducing waste.
This entrepreneurial role involves building a robust dealer network, cultivating relationships with contractors (primarily painters), and delivering exceptional customer service—all while maintaining budgetary discipline. You will receive comprehensive support from their head office in the Netherlands, covering marketing, sales, technical, financial, HR, and logistics functions. This position is based in the Northeast /Tri State area and reports to the Marketing Manager based in the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Building and Customer Acquisition
- Develop and execute a go-to-market plan for Repair Care’s product portfolio, targeting strategic regions and key customer segments, in the professional painter market.
- Drive brand awareness through cost-effective marketing initiatives, leveraging social media, digital campaigns, and grassroots outreach in consultation with the Marketing Manager.
- Represent Repair Care at tradeshows, exhibitions, and networking events to promote products and build relationships.
Dealer Network Development
- Identify, recruit, and establish partnerships with dealers/distributors across the U.S.
- Negotiate agreements and ensure seamless onboarding for new partners.
- Provide ongoing support and training, enhancing dealer product knowledge and sales capabilities.
Education Outreach
- Conduct training sessions and presentations to educate contractors, dealers, and relevant schools on Repair Care’s products and their applications.
Market Research and Strategy Development
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify opportunities in the U.S. repair and restoration market.
- Develop and implement a market entry strategy aligned with Repair Care’s objectives and values in consultation with the marketing manager.
Service Organization Development
- Establish a service organization that delivers exceptional support to contractors and dealers.
- Independently processing orders in the ERP system, as well as performing other administrative tasks.
- Develop service protocols, training materials, and customer support processes to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service offerings.
Budget Management
- Manage marketing and operational budgets effectively, maximizing impact through cost-efficient strategies in consultation with the marketing manager.
- Develop creative solutions to optimize resource allocation.
Reporting and Performance Metrics
- Track and analyze sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends.
- Prepare regular reports with insights and recommendations for strategic adjustments.
- Update and maintain CRM system (Salesforce) and responsible for managing agenda.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree or comparable level of expertise.
- Minimum of 5 years in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably within the construction, paint, or restoration industries.
- Proven success in establishing and managing dealer networks and relationships with large contractors.
- Strong understanding of U.S. market dynamics, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
- Experience with budget management is a plus.
