What are the responsibilities and job description for the Designer-Graphic & Digital position at VDC Brand?

Position Summary/Objective

The purpose of this position is to complete graphics projects to illustrate desired concepts for various departments within the company, including Value Drug Company, Value Specialty Pharmacy, and RestoreRx. The person in this position manages responsibility for company Branding, as well as designs to promote various company programs and services. The Designer handles many highly prioritized projects simultaneously. The position requires gathering information and materials to create designs and displays, utilizing size, type size and fonts, pictures and graphics and other aesthetic concepts.

 

Essential Functions

  1. Design all professionally printed and most in-house pieces, including, but not limited to: signage, banners, notepads, folders, envelopes, business cards, displays, marketing materials, apparel, novelties, mouse pads, nametags, artwork, etc.
  2. Design digital advertising and social media, assist the Digital Designer with graphics for video promotional materials.
  3. Develop and produce printed signage, displays and materials for use at company shows and events, including: Value Drug Company Expo, Seasons, and the Annual Stockholder Meeting.
  4. Produce sales sheets, brochures and other printed material needed for special programs, e.g. immunization promotions, CP Specialty Pharmacy Services, Telemedicine, and CE trips.
  5. Meet the needs of Value Specialty Pharmacy and RestoreRx by creating specific marketing materials for the unique offerings of the company segment.
  6. Design web banners for both supplier promotions and VDC initiatives.
  7. Photograph company events as part of company history and for use in future promotions.
  8. Collaborate with Team Members in the layout, design, and production of the company weekly newsletter for Value Drug members. Compile articles and photos to be used in each edition.
  9. Develop and design the layout for interior projects in company buildings.
  10. Work with managers, outside vendors, and coworkers to develop and produce marketing materials.
  11. Work to minimize errors in order to realize cost and time savings and to promote customer satisfaction.
  12. Maintain compliance with all procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies and procedures.

 

Work Environment

This position operates in a quiet office environment and receives frequent supervision.

 

Competencies

Training and knowledge in graphic and digital design, MS Windows and/or MAC OS, MS Office Suite, Adobe CC Suite, scale drawing and drafting, and photography.  Requires creativity, written and oral communication proficiency, computer skills, operate a DSLR camera, organizational skills, time management, detail orientation, teamwork, analytical skill, multi-tasking, ability to take accurate measurements, customer service skills, problem solving ability, telephone and cell phone skills, and collaboration skills. Ability to operate office equipment.

 

Physical demands typical of this position

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods of time, use hands and arms to lift (occasionally up to 40 lbs.), use fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other computer or office equipment. Requires public contact, mental concentration and visual acuity to read documents and a computer screen. May be required to perform repetitive activities and work alone.  Ability to meet tight deadlines, address emergencies and handle changing priorities and schedules.

 

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

 

Travel

Work related travel is not required in this position.

 

Required Education and Experience

Training and experience in Graphic and Digital Design,

Experienced in MS Office Suite, Adobe CC Suite, MS Office Suite, and Photography

 

Preferred Education and Experience

Associate or Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

 

Security Clearance/Background Check

If required.
