What do our Contract Managers do?
A contract manager manages all aspects of an integrated mosquito management program.
Functions include, but are not limited to the following :
- Manage all mosquito surveillance and control activities in a safe and organized manner, following all applicable laws, regulations, and VDCI policies
- Hire and train all seasonal employees in accordance with all laws and VDCI policies
- Manage all employees consistently and efficiently, following all VDCI policies and procedures, and ensuring that all activities are performed safely and in compliance with all laws and regulations
- With training provided by VDCI, Obtain all licenses & certifications required to perform any mosquito control activities
- Enter all program data into VDCI's database completely and accurately on a daily basis
- Download all GPS units and truck monitor data to the computer correctly on a daily basis
- Calibrate all application equipment accurately and routinely, and record activities properly
- Work with the Regional Director to develop and implement the most effective mosquito control program possible, including personnel requirements, control activities, budget management, safety considerations etc. while maintaining open communication at all times
