About the Job: We are seeking a talented Mosquito Control Specialist to join our team at VDCI. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in protecting public health by controlling mosquito populations and preventing the spread of diseases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of control zones to detect mosquito breeding habitats and larvae
- Implement effective control techniques, such as source reduction, biological control, and chemical control
- Maintain monitoring devices for accessing mosquito populations
- Record all findings and control activities on log sheets and GPS units, and enter data into VDCI's database as required
- Ensure thorough familiarity with applicable chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and handle/apply chemicals according to label specifications
- Follow proper safety and spill procedures at all times, and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) regularly
