Job Summary
This is an On-Site position, reporting to the Controller. The Accounting Analyst is responsible daily processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and will also be responsible for Month-End Closing entries and reconciliations. Follows standard procedures, processes and schedules as established by the Controller. Maintains a continuous improvement and learning mindset. Experience in Aviation and/or Epicor is highly preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities – None.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
This position involves knowledge of confidential information. Such information will be handled with
the utmost discretion.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and posts month-end closing journal entries for accruals, payroll, taxes, etc. Reviews and analyzes month-end financial statements.
- Supports revenue cycle processes including cash application against accounts receivables.
- Processes daily invoices for accounts payable. Works with vendors to resolve open invoices or late payments. Works with purchasing for goods receipt research and PO corrections.
- Tracks capital spending and placing assets in service.
- Will assist with annual audit completed by the company’s public auditors and other agency or internal auditors. Collaborates appropriately, identifies and resolves operating issues, and completes in a timely manner.
- Works collaboratively with payroll and other functional groups within the business to gather or provide information and address questions/problems.
- Is supportive of and participates in continuous improvement projects; takes advantage of tools and programs that will increase the accuracy and efficiency of accounting practices.
- May work on general accounting or financial planning and analysis special projects. Makes presentations to staff within the business and/or company management, as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understanding of US GAAP, internal controls and related regulations
- Working knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and cost accounting standards (CAS)
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (e.g. V-Look Up and Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint.
- Possesses and maintains good organizational skills and detail orientation.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners.
- Uses good judgement and discretion; can ask questions and raise issues/concerns constructively and in a timely manner.
Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in an accounting discipline preferred.
- Experience: 2-3 years of related experience; Experience in manufacturing or aerospace company preferred.
Work Authorization
Must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) in order
to access export-controlled technology.
General: Maintain personal productivity and quality standards as determined by supervision. Follow standard departmental/company practices and procedures as outlined by management. Maintain area in a clean and orderly condition.
