This position will start out as temp to hire through a placement agency with a final evaluation between 60-90 days to determine if requirements were met to be hired as an employee.
Must be able to work either of the following first shifts:
5:30 am - 2 pm or 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (shifts could alternate/fluctuate)
Job Summary
Assists the Lead and/or Supervisor in the departmental processes within the assigned areas. Leads the effort to ensure the productivity, quality, safety, and day-to-day operations of the areas. Position is also responsible for performing the processes required in the assigned areas, which will include the Shipping & Receiving and Stockroom areas, to control inventory of materials, hardware, and shop supplies; complete all material handling functions for TATS controlled items per appropriate procedures and certification requirements.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
This position may involve knowledge of confidential information. Such information will be handled with the utmost discretion.
- Kits materials for production.
- Issues materials as necessary for various areas within operations, to relieve bottlenecked areas needing materials issued.
- Maintains accurate issuing of materials through accurate recordkeeping.
- Moves shipments, parts, received materials, etc. as needed in the department.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains highest standards of quality and quantity.
- Records required information in company systems.
- Participates in Kaizen events.
- Maintains a high degree of cooperation with supervision and other employees.
- Aggressive in work assignments and learning new jobs.
- Assists in the training of new employees.
- Maintains awareness of department schedules.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two to four years of experience in a manufacturing operations environment and/or inventory/stockroom, and/or shipping and/or receiving is preferred.
- Experienced using a PC and related company systems.
Work Authorization
Must qualify as a U.S. Person as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) in order to access export-controlled technology.
Required Safety Training
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Attend required safety and environmental training, as determined by the EH&S office.
General: Maintain personal productivity and quality standards as determined by supervision. Follow standard departmental/company practices and procedures as outlined by management. Maintain area in a clean and orderly condition.
