Financial/Budget Analyst

Position Summary:

The Financial/Budget Analyst is the key finance interface responsible for tracking a company's financial performance against a plan, analyzing business performance and market conditions to create forecasts, and helping senior management make tactical and strategic decisions by providing periodic reports. A thorough knowledge of general accounting procedures, reporting and expense analysis, and journal posting is required.  Candidates for this position should have strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.

 Duties to include (but not limited to):

•  Responsible for management reporting, dashboards, budget and forecast templates
• Prepare profit and loss models, balance sheets, cash flow statements and other management reports
• Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance

• Assist with external reporting and disclosure requirements
• Customer contract review and documentation of revenue recognition accounting
• Assist with month-end close and general accounting functions
• Maintaining confidential financial information
• Participates in annual audits, special projects and other assigned duties as required

 Position Requirements:

•  Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis
• Specific IFRS 15 knowledge
• ERP implementation experience an asset
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases

 Education and Experience:

•  CPA designation
• 5 years or relevant experience
• IFRS accounting
• ERP and FP&A software experience, specifically Oracle and Planful
