Move | Warehouse Manager
VECRA, Inc. has a requirement for a Move | Warehouse Manager with 10 years of Move Management experience. The VECRA Move Manager will join our Lanham, Maryland headquarters to Set-up, Develop and Lead the VECRA Move Management functional area. The VECRA Move | Warehouse Manager will carry out the day-to-day facility management tasks in support of our and Federal government, Public and Commercial clients.

ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and/or leverage opportunities to build and grow VECRA’S Move Management functional area
- Participate in and represent VECRA at Site Visits
- Participate in and represent VECRA during Walk throughs
- Provide leadership and recommendations for Warehousing and Storage
- Leverage VECRA’s SDVOSB, WOSB, and other small business set-asides and certifications to grow the Facilities Management core competency in the area of Move Management
- Develop a business case for additional move management staff, partners, equipment, tools, and resources
- Provide leadership within the construct of materials handling
- Provide leadership and guidance regarding CDL licensing, certification, and recertification
- Develops and implements group move plans in collaboration with the facility management, and project management teams, as required
- Developing Program Management Staffing plans to assess and identify the personnel needs of the program
- Time approvals, scheduling and effective planning
- Manage supporting suppliers
- Planning and implementing the relocation of offices and support facilities, moving office contents, including files, personal effects and computers
- Develop and implement move plans and budgets in collaboration with Occupancy Planning, Facilities Management and Project Management, and other key stakeholders as required
- Coordination with various service providers (IT, Associate Relocations and Furniture Installation contractors) to determine the appropriate date(s) for implementation and communicating those dates (via E-mail, Project Schedule, Microsoft Teams)
- Manage direct interaction with the client occupant community up to senior management, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the move management process and compliance with key performance indicators
- Job responsibilities include the definition of scope and sequence for moves
- Ensure that schedule and budgets are on target and that move processes are managed and operated according to the client’s business needs
- Oversee, monitor and control local offsite storage facilities
- Oversee business as usual procurement process, utilizing Firm systems, including order production and approval as required
- Flexibility to travel to onsite locations (local and long-distance to meet the needs of the agency)
- Take a lead role and actively participate in the recruitment process for move management projects
- Supervise staff and employees to ensure goals and priorities are met
- Delegate tasks in order maximize resources and promote efficiency
- Communicate regularly in writing and verbally on the status of projects including all relevant information impacting the project

QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIRED SKILLS:
- 10 years Move Management experience required to include Moving, Relocation, Warehouse and Transitions
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Possess the ability to foster customer and vendor relationships
- Goal oriented, hardworking, conscientious, reliable and can work well in a team environment
- Confident and self-motivated with a proactive approach
- Needs to be able to prioritize in order to meet various clients requests and escalations
- Possess the ability to deal and interact with people at all levels, including clients, vendors and consultants
- Must be a US citizen
- Must complete a Background Investigation

EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation or some related field preferred with 10 years of combined and comprehensive Move Management experience (relevant experience may substitute a college degree)
OTHER
- Shift: 9:00am – 5:30pm (shifts will vary on offsite move days in support of the customers’ mission)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday (however, some weekend work may be required)
