Summary:
Vecta Industrial Cleaning Company is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Chemical Cleaning Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting chemical cleaning operations for industrial equipment and facilities. Your expertise in handling various chemical cleaning processes, equipment, and safety protocols will be crucial in effectively removing contaminants and ensuring the optimal performance of our clients' systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Chemical Cleaning Operations:
- Operate and manage chemical cleaning equipment, including pumps, hoses, and tanks.
- Prepare and handle chemicals used in cleaning processes, following standard operating procedures.
- Perform cleaning operations, such as acid, caustic, solvent, and detergent cleaning, in accordance with project requirements and safety standards.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Strictly adhere to safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies regarding the handling and disposal of chemicals.
- Participate in safety briefings and training sessions
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of chemical cleaning equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, escalating to supervisors or maintenance personnel as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas.
- Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Accurately record operational data, such as chemical usage, cleaning times, and equipment settings.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or deviations from procedures to the supervisor immediately.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Chemical Cleaning Operator or in a similar role within an industrial cleaning environment.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and chemicals, with a strong emphasis on safety.
- Ability to read and interpret safety data sheets (SDS) and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical condition and ability to work in various industrial environments.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by project demands.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Must have a TWIC card
