Summary:
Vecta Industrial Cleaning Company, a leader in providing high-quality industrial cleaning services, is seeking a dedicated and safety-oriented Tank Cleaner. In this role, you will be responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of various types of industrial tanks, ensuring they meet our rigorous standards for cleanliness and safety. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and performance of our clients' storage and processing tanks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Tank Cleaning Operations:
- Perform cleaning tasks on industrial tanks, which may include confined space entry, using appropriate tools, chemicals, and equipment.
- Remove residues and contaminants from tanks using methods such as pressure washing, vacuuming, scraping, or chemical cleaning.
- Follow detailed procedures for cleaning different types of tanks, including but not limited to fuel tanks, chemical tanks, and storage tanks.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, particularly those related to confined space entry, hazardous materials, and high-pressure equipment.
- Utilize and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) effectively.
- Recognize and report potential hazards or breaches of safety protocol.
- Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
- Operate various types of cleaning equipment, including pressure washers, vacuums, and hoses.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Keep equipment clean and well-maintained, reporting any malfunctions to supervisors.
- Waste Disposal and Environmental Compliance:
- Properly handle and dispose of waste and residues in accordance with environmental regulations and company policies.
- Ensure the cleaning and disposal processes minimize environmental impact.
- Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Assist in the training of new employees on proper tank cleaning techniques and safety practices.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss safety, process improvements, and job planning.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in industrial cleaning is a plus.
- Previous experience in tank cleaning or industrial cleaning is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and comfort working in confined spaces.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform demanding tasks in various environmental conditions.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
