Job Description:
The Superintendent is responsible for managing and coordinating all necessary project resources and documentation throughout the entire project lifecycle. This includes maintenance of the schedule and the management of on-site personnel. This individual also manages general work performance and quality, and overall team progress against the plan through consistent communication and collaboration with the owner and project team members. The Superintendent is responsible for having an understanding of the project budget, whether that be labor costs or material required to complete the project.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and communicate with Subcontractors and Vendors to assist them in working to maintain the Project Schedule.
- Ensure the Vector Health and Safety Plan is being implemented and followed by both Vector employees and Subcontractors.
- Maintain housekeeping by managing material stored on site in an organizes manner.
- Build effective working relationships with clients and Vector project team members.
- Attend all schedule and management meetings necessary to monitor and manage the project.
- Communicate with Vector management to ensure needs on site are being and they are aware of any issues that need to be addressed.
- Lead weekly Toolbox Talks with Vector staff.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of related experience
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail demonstrated by a strong command of all contract documents and project requirements
- A strong sense of urgency and initiative
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to confidently and decisively take action
- Ability to work effectively with others and display a team-oriented attitude
