Job Summary:
Supports engineering efforts, implements engineering procedures and controls, and performs research and analyses to support the identification and resolution of complex problems. Provides expertise in a relevant specialized engineering discipline. Applies sound engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate systems, subsystems, and/or components. Supports engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
Education and Experience:
- BA/BS degree in an Engineering Discipline
- 3-10 years of experience
Essential Duties:
- Provide engineering support in a variety of specialized engineering areas including, but not limited to, human systems engineering, industrial, reliability/maintainability, propulsion, flight mechanics, structural, electromagnetic, electrical power, avionics, navigation, cockpit controls and displays, communications, airborne electronic warfare, airborne radar, electro-optics, environmental, safety, mechanical equipment and subsystems, and flight testing.
- Perform electrical engineering as it applies to radiated energy transmission and receivers, encrypted data conduits across light and microwave, full spectrum wave form analysis in detailed support of avionics integration from a system of systems approach.
- Provide mechanical and structural validation of change recommendations to flight control design, and test including the ability to mathematically verify load and lift calculations.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
- Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
- Possess skills and ability to prepare presentation material including charts and graphs using Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to perform all functional duties independently.
