Microsoft Power Platform Developer

Job Summary:

Responsible to plan, support, and provide custom MS Power Platform development across complex and critical programmatic areas, such as functional, technical, professional or policy areas. Work with customers to design, create and implement custom solutions leveraging MS Power Platform: Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI, and related information technologies. Conduct analysis of existing applications, identify deficiencies and technical issues providing advice to improve functionality/efficiency in support of program goals. Ensure successful task completion within the scheduled timeframe, consistent with the established scope of work to full range of technical remedies. Recommend and coordinate system maintenance procedures, forward facing user interface development, and continuous process enhancement of the installed solution. Develop project plans and milestones, status reports and other deliverables, and monitor the execution of all tasks for quality and timeliness.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

Experience/Education: 

Additionally, candidates will possess eight (8) years’ hands on experience in Microsoft Power Platform development, practical knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in Power Platform development and customization, and a bachelor’s degree in a related field, with working knowledge in at least four (4) of the following areas: 
 

• Microsoft 365 services to include SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics 365
• Software development lifecycle methodologies
• Microsoft Power Platform
• Internal Controls (DOD RMF/GAO Green Book/ISO 9000)
• Operational Logistics
• Logistics Management
• Program Management
• Information Technology Management
    

Competitive applicants for this position should have four (4) years’ experience with logistics and financial procedures/applications. 

Preferred Experience:

It is also highly desired the applicant hold a bachelor’s degree and/or Industry-recognized certification in one of the following disciplines:

• Project Management
• Logistics
• Computer Science
• Operations Research
• Business
• Engineering
• Information System Management

Essential Duties: 

• Create tailored/customized Power Platform applications through understanding business process and customer objectives. 
• Define configuration specifications & business analysis requirements.
• Offer timely support and troubleshooting for installed Power Platform content, implementing fixes and developing the tool(s) to optimize workflow performance and user satisfaction.
• Integrate Power Platform with organizational data sources, develop analytic dashboards and ensure data integrity for enterprise decision making.
• Effectively build workflows and forms in MS Power Platform.

• Excellent organization skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
• Strong skills across MS365 and Power Platform suite of applications.
• Strong ability to diagnose, identify and fix problems through discussions with technical and functional teams.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
