What are the responsibilities and job description for the W&T Mission Planning Support position at Vector CSP LLC?
Job Summary: Act as a Mission Planning Support (MPS) Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) Support Specialist to support all aspects of the assigned organization’s F-15 JMPS.
Requirements:
- Top Secret Clearance with SCI & SAP/SAR eligibility and willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph
Education and Experience:
- Four years and/or 600 flight hours of experience as a mission-ready multi-role fighter aircrew with combat squadron, group, or wing weapons and tactics and/or JMPS mission planning experience (recent F-15 experience desired) OR four years direct mission planning experience as a mission-ready aircrew and direct experience with mission planning on JMPS supporting a combat squadron, group, or wing.
- Two years of experience with DoD and USAF security guidelines in regards to computer and network security up to a TS SAP level
- Two years of experience with current system software supported at the organization to include operating system and application software packages as identified by the Government Site Lead/Point of Contact.
- Two years of experience using and maintaining computer systems/networks, equipment, and software; and to train users on new computer systems used to support mission debrief.
Essential Duties:
- Provide JMPS (software and hardware) management, COMSEC, SKL, and mission planning expertise to CONUS F-15 AD and ARC units.
- Use JMPS to construct mission and theater files for training and pre-deployment.
- Coordinate with other stakeholders as required in support of mission planning.
- Provide call-back support for home-station and deployed units.
- Travel to CONUS F-15 units to conduct in-person training on F-15 JMPS, mission files, and OPTASKLINK and to confirm correct crypto loading in support of F-15 Ops, WIC, FTU, and WSEP.
- Travel shall not exceed 10 weeks per year.
- Coordinate with maintenance and communications personnel in support of mission planning.
- Provide call-back support for home-station and deployed units using classified communications and computer systems.
- Install, update, and maintain JMPS software and hardware.
- Prepare JMPS software and hardware for unit deployments and use JMPS to correctly load all required cryptographic keys into mission files.
- Train personnel on how to set-up JMPS for deployed operations and perform MP Expert duties while deployed.
- Develop guides/checklists for how to perform MP Expert duties while deployed using approved material.
- Interpret OPSTASKLINK messages to select the correct cryptographic keys for mission files and weapons loads and train other personnel how to identify and select the correct cryptographic keys for on station and deployed activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Detailed knowledge and expertise required to manage the security aspects of F-15 JMPS Systems.
- Must have strong communication skills and be able to effectively communicate technical issues.
- Experience with current system software supported at the organization to include operating system and application software packages.
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving computer and network hardware and software problems which may not be typical in nature.
