Our client began in 1984 and has since been the leader in guidance services for the Horizontal Directional Drilling market (HDD) and is looking for a career-oriented HDD Field Engineer. As an HDD Field Engineer, you will:
- Participate in land surveying and steering of the initial pilot hole for pipeline construction projects.
- Be required to have extreme attention to detail, responsibility, and problem-solving skills.
- Learn the skills and qualities required to be an effective field engineer through the client's training program.
- Travel significantly throughout the United States
- Need to have flexibility on scheduling.
We're looking for someone who works hard and can handle multiple tasks at once. The role requires drive and a sense of accountability because the day-to-day working environment will involve very little direct supervision. Someone that is familiar with Guidance or Bit Guidance, HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling), Magnetic Guidance/Locating & Gyro Guidance/Locating.

Qualifications
- Land Surveying & Mapping Technology Degree preferred, or on-site training available.
- Ability to travel and work away from home for extended periods of time.
- Hands on and Practical: likes working in the field as well as in the office.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The mentality and motivation to provide quality work both effectively and efficiently.
- Clean Driver’s License.
Hours & Compensation
- Full Time
- Competitive Salary - Approx. $50,000-$70,000 per year (Starting)
- $75 a month cell phone reimbursement
- $100 day rate
- $50 per diem
- Full Benefits with Company Subsidized Health, Dental, and Vision

This position is subject to the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug & alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 382 and/or 49 CFR Part 199.
