Job Summary:
Perform quality control audits on work performed by camera crews in the natural
gas distribution industry. Camera crews perform videography of certain
underground utility facilities to assess irregularities. The Quality Control Auditor
reviews that footage. Quality Control Auditors adhere to all Safety and Quality
policies, the companys Core Values, and the clients standards and procedures.
- Note: this position will work three (3) days (Tues, Wed, Thurs) in the customer office in downtown AND two days (Mon, Fri) in the VECTOR office near the airport
Job Responsibilities:
- Primary contributions and duties will be to audit footage from crews videography of certain utility facilities; the auditor will document and communicate results of all findings.
- Ensure nonconformity issues are documented and communicated appropriately (including through regular reports)
- Work with client representatives and/or field personnel to discuss audited findings.
- Conduct duties in line with client expectations and the Companys core values
- Quality Control Auditors work requires extended periods of time working on computers and viewing materials on the computer screen
- Other related duties, or special projects, may be assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Must be competent in conflict resolution
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to observe video recordings and identify abnormalities
- Ability to read and comprehend industry related standards, procedures, specifications, requirements, manufacturers instructions, etc.
- Demonstrated attention to details
- Experience and successful ability to work in a team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in the public utility industry, with an emphasis on natural gas distribution
- Previous employment in a role related to QA/QC in the utility construction or natural gas distribution industry.
- Expressed interest and desire to contribute in a growing sector of the natural industry and the Quality field.
