Job Summary: The Distribution Planner is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement of products from intercompany facilities, external vendors, and customers. This role ensures efficient inventory management, cost optimization, and high service levels to meet customer demand while adhering to company policies and procedures. The Distribution Planner oversees special material requests, and shipment coordination for both domestic and international operations. They manage import/export processes, maintain accurate system data, and troubleshoot transaction issues to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Acting as a key liaison between operations and customer success teams, this role ensures alignment between supply chain functions and customer commitments. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in ERP systems, great attention to detail, and effective communication to drive process improvements and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Manage international and domestic transfers of products between company sites, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal policies.
- Maintain stock level across intercompany sites.
- Coordinate urgent material requests, expedited shipments, and unique lot requirements to meet business and customer needs.
- Maintain accurate master data, create and manage part numbers, and troubleshoot system transactions to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee import/export processes, ensuring proper documentation, customs clearance, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Streamline and monitor the flow of incoming and outgoing shipments to improve efficiency and minimize delays.
- Manage expected ship dates, proactively communicate status updates, and resolve any delays or disruptions.
- Assist with site planning initiatives as needed to align inventory and supply chain strategies.
- Act as liaison between Sales, Operations, Customer Success, Shipping, and Global cross-functional teams, facilitating seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications (Experience, Education, Knowledge, and Skills):
- 5 years in biotechnology manufacturing preferred.
- BS or BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have strong problem solving, analytical, time management skills, organizational skills.
- Required proficiency with NetSuite, MS Office tools (especially advanced level expertise with Excel)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to present information effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to successfully interact with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently with demonstrated self-initiative.
- Proven ability to demonstrate good judgement and make effective decisions based on facts and information at hand.
- Purchasing, Production, Customer Service, Shipping experience preferred.
- Understanding of operations processes form end-to-end.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000-$104,000. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience, and other qualifications.
