Key Responsibilities
- Field Operations Coordination:
- Act as the main point of contact between field personnel, project managers, and clients to ensure efficient project execution.
- Coordinate daily field activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and on-site problem-solving.
- Monitor project progress, track and report employee work hours, and ensure timely completion of tasks in line with company standards.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, work permits, and company policies during field operations.
- Maintain inventory of equipment and tools. As necessary, coordinate the timely delivery of materials to various job sites.
- Training and Development:
- Assist with implementation of training programs for new and existing field personnel on operational procedures, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- Provide hands-on training and guidance in the field, ensuring employees are fully equipped to meet project demands and safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, workshops, and refreshers on standard operating procedures and company guidelines.
- Evaluate the performance of field personnel and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Safety Management:
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulatory standards.
- Conduct on-site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
- Collaborate with the safety team to update and maintain safety training materials and procedures.
- Client Relations:
- Foster positive relationships with clients, ensuring that their expectations are met or exceeded through clear communication and high-quality service delivery.
- Act as a liaison between clients and the project team to resolve any field-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
- High school diploma with construction management, or related field supervisory experience.
- 3 years of experience in construction, or related industry, with field management or coordination experience.
- Proven experience in training and mentoring field staff in a utility or construction environment.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices in utility engineering.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
