Vector's partner located in Ashtabula, Ohio is a global manufacturer of petrochemicals, specialty chemicals and oil products. They have openings for Instrumentation and Electrical Technicians on 1st and 2nd Shifts.

1st Shift : 7a-3 : 30p
2nd Shift : 2p-10p
Union wage of $35.05 / hr. plus OT.
There is a potential 6% annual bonus target as well.
Job Summary :
The Instrumentation and Electrical Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical and instrumentation issues that would negatively impact the safe operation of plant systems. They also proactively test, repair and upgrade electrical and instrumentation systems. Willing to work overtime as needed and during plant outages.
Responsibilities :
Safely and efficiently maintain / repair manufacturing and utilities equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures
Monitor and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and process. Report deviations, equipment failures, and hazards and assist in plant investigations and problem resolutions
Utilize computer systems to obtain spare parts for equipment repairs and complete any documentation / reports as required
Installation, calibration, inspection, troubleshooting and repair of instruments and electrical equipment, in accordance with NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, ISA and Company Standards.
Identify, interpret and effectively use drawings and documentation related to electrical and process controls including electrical one-line diagrams, wiring schematics, control schematics, P&ID’s, cause and effect diagrams, instrument loop diagrams, etc.
Control valve repair
Troubleshoot, repair motor control circuits and equipment including VFD's, motors, and motor control circuits
Participate and successfully complete training and development activities
Provide on-the-job training for other maintenance personnel as needed
Participate on project teams identifying and sharing continuous improvement ideas to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and process improvements and cost reduction
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, display safe working practices in all duties and identify, correct and report hazardous situations
Establish and share maintenance best practices
Complete reports and documentation accurately as required
Ensure adherence to Company Process and Behavioral Safety Principles and Life Saving Rules
Complete all documentation accurately
Review, comprehend and follow all company rules, policies and guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned Requirements :
High school education or equivalent required.
2-year technical degree / certificate in industrial electrical or instrumentation with minimum of 2 years of experience or minimum 5 years electrical and / or instrumentation experience in an industrial maintenance environment with no technical degree.
Certifications from trade schools and / or professional organizations are preferred.
Previous chemical plant experience a plus
Excellent communications skills
Computer skills using Microsoft Office programs
Must be able to work rotating shift schedule
Physically capable of climbing stairs and ladders
Able to work in outdoor environment in all seasonal weather extremes #IND101
